Music and sound effects fit the action, the controls are pretty responsive. Overall, Bearbarians is pretty outstanding and addictive. It does have some replayability value in it shop and customize your warriors to improve stats or for the sake of appearance. In my honest opinion, I won't mind spending time playing it again in the future. The fact that Bearbarians involve shooting/cutting attacks, this mean it requires more than just tapping the buttons, you really need fast reflexes to keep from constantly dying. It makes me sad when I stab smiling bears to death with a rusty knife but the whole idea is to survive and kill in modes like team deathmatch and team survival. It's kind of silly to see animals cheerfully beating the stuffing out of each other. Or as for other roles, if you feel like it's too early to die, you can actually block incoming attacks. Each of those four character types have their roles to fulfill an example is medics, they are always supporting and healing your wounded bear-warriors. In all battles, you get to choose to play a class out of four. Wait… Did I say bears with sword and pistol? What an awesome combination! Things escalated quickly just like how I started to enjoy the game. Erm, ok." As I progress deeper, I slowly realize I have a pistol in my pocket. In the game, your village has been destroyed. Guys, get ready and brace yourself with some blood-soaked 2D arena battle! This one is pretty solid one. My senses tell me it is going to be an outstanding flash game and it really is. Just more data.I knew I had to play this game called Bearbarians (wonder why not call it Barbearians instead), after seeing the cute thumbnail featured on the main page of Kongregate. BUT.I'm super-statted and have all the scaling factors at 99, so that probably makes most of the difference. So I threw on my new Japan's Bravest set, found a Sk&Hk dual sword (with that 5 slot + Magic Bonus, with no inheritables, so I could put a 21.8% Skill dmg inheritable on it), and did some testing: (I'm testing it in comparison to my Shishi-o & Hone-kui, which has the strongest Attack value at the moment) Shishi-o: (Skill dmg 20.2%) Atk: 1960 Dmg: 5043 Sh&Hk: (Skill Dmg 21.8%) Atk:1820 (140 atk value points below the previous dual swords): Dmg: 5118 So, despite the visible atk value being lower when looking at the weapon (by a pretty significant amount), it does more dmg. I read somewhere else that it only affected the actual magic (like a lightning shot) that you use. It would seem to be if one just looked at the written atk value on the weapon. I had read somewhere that it scaled off of this, but that the scaling was weak. I just found this video of yours and, after the recent discussion of the various damage "categories" that get diminishing returns if you stack from the same categories, I looked into this dual sword, thinking that maybe "Omnyo Magic Damage Bonus" could be another hidden modifier.
